@LJPUK No plans to upgrade from my iPhone 12 mini this year. Partly because of the looming massive increase in energy costs to be announced in the UK next week, but also I don't feel there is anything lacking in my current phone that would make me a happier person.
@ReaderJohn I took it at an aquarium, so many fascinating underwater scenes there!
@marks No problem! I've uploaded an export of the workflow to GitHub - github.com/mgkennard... The workflow will add whatever you type to the second dot so would need to be customised if you want to use a different dot. Once installed you can type things like "tot See what I can do with kale for tonights dinner".
@pimoore I'm a freelancer and many of the notes I create are more of a conversation I'm having with myself about the various projects I'm working on at any one time. My main interface for creating the notes was via an Alfred workflow. Alfred was also used to facilitate quick access to my weekly overview using the Day One URL scheme which allows you to create a link for any entry. I'm going to look to create new Alfred workflows to replicate this experience with Org roam. The Day One UI itself offers Markdown based shortcuts, checklists and a newly introduced '/' command for quick access to common tasks such as adding dates - so I've found it a very pleasant place to edit text.
@Archimage Kotlin is IMHO a fun language to work with. For many tasks which involve Android itself though I still end up writing way more code than I do with iOS - and dealing with how frequently Google deprecates code you only wrote a few months ago is a frustration which is par for the course. I know some people don't like Android Studio because of the non-native UI, but I find it a productive environment in which to work.
